I've been doing a lot of preliminary drafts / concepts for a new project as of late, so my speed paints have been getting a lot of work.

now, I wonder what all this could be for? ` u `

A new song and new art in two days? Woohoo :)

My favorites are the library and the last 3, especially the courtyard and the tower. The tower reminds me of Hyrule Castle from the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.

Zelda is a good thing to be reminded of, : ]

Funny thing is this is how I used to update, all the time, hah.

As long as you're still updating, then it's fine with me.

Looks great! I've been doing some 30 min speed paints some time ago. How long did these take you?

Ha nice! You know what helps speeding up? I always set a timer to 10 minutes and switch to the next painting. I do this 3 times for each painting. It keeps your mind sharp.

yeah, timers for forced deadlines / transitions trains a fundamentally different aspect of drawing than just just drawing casually. Thats the whole point behind 30-60 second pose drawings, and can really have a lot of use when comes time to hash out backgrounds as well. : ]

speed though, hah, I think I've got that art sorted at this point. I need to go back and polish up my techniques for bringing longer paintings to the finish line, that part, man I am rusty, hah.

Haha.. Yeah.. I am starting to get to that point as well. I've also done 4 2hour paintings in one day (8hour painting fun), but 2 hours was still a little short to get the desired results. It was better then speedpaints, but lacked the level I refinement I get in my 10+ hour paints. I hope to be able to get my detaile painting time down to something like 6 hours. That would be great.

Usually when I come to the point of detailing, (80% of the time spent) I already want to start with something new.

The library one is without a doubt the best one there.
I'm really glad to see more paintings from you, I started to miss those.
If it's for a comic, I can't wait to read it.

and yeah, paintings. These are speedpaints even, real paintings? there will be a lot of that in the future as well.
